Recently, I received an email from the Restore the Republic (RTR) website titled “A special message from RestoreTheRepublic.com to the United States Military”. Inside this email, they basically put a call out to all Military and Defense Forces to disobey any direct order that violates the Constitution. We all know that we swore to defend our Constitution and Country against all enemies foreign and domestic. There can also be no disagreement in the fact that what our politicians are doing in Washington today is damn near criminal if not all criminal. As much as all Veterans and Active Personnel of our Nations Armed Forces believe in the Constitutional Rights of Americans and defending those rights, there is something to be said about this email.
Restore the Republic must understand that this can not be good for our military to make such a request. This by opinion only needs to be entrusted to the Commanding Officers who we hope will look out for the welfare of the troops they command by standing up for all of them. By troops at that level disobeying direct orders will only cause individuals harm in their own careers. No single Marine, Solider, Sailor, or Airman xcan set this example. It would cause terrible unrest in the lower ranks which is considered by many to be the backbone of any Military Fighting Force. Things like that not only weaken the ranks within, but can also weaken the ability for commanders to guide their troops, and most of all make it harder for the military to protect our Country. I support the truth and try to leave the conspiracy out of things. I also support what RTR is trying to do. But I urge members of the military who may have received that email and may be reading this entry to simply disregard that communication. If you believe that you are being asked to carry out an order that goes against the oath you took, then take it through the ranks. Let the Officers do their job. If that doesn’t work, then simply find a Congressman or Senator that gives a rats ass about this country and let them in on it. (Jim De Mint R-SC would be a good start (One of the last Statesman left) ). There is no point in ruining your good standing with the military or making your surroundings worse than they have to be. Find another way to contribute to the cause. There are Plenty. For example: This website is my way of speaking out in a time where change cannot come from Washington, but only through the people who elect those individuals to office. Your vote is a powerful weapon. Use it to choose the ones who will truly speak for the people they represent, not just themselves!
